本日は、ポルトガルの老舗ブランド『エレウテリオ』のご紹介です。

エレウテリオは、1925年ポルトガル北部の町トラヴァッソスで創業されました。

フィリグラーナという金線細工の起源は紀元前3000年までさかのぼります。

古代メソポタミアで生まれ、フェニキア人により世界各地に拡げられました。

16世紀にはその技術はポルトガル貴族にも愛されるようになります。

その時期、大航海時代を謳歌していたポルトガル。

国内外よりもたらせる金をふんだんに使い、より繊細な装飾を追求していきました。

トラヴァッソスは昔から「金の村」と呼ばれています。

今でも装飾品や金銀細工の町として知られています。

この土地に生まれたエレウテリオ・アントゥネシュもフィリグラーナに魅了された一人。

ジュエリーを愛する人の審美眼にかなう技術を継承していくため、自身のブランドをじっくり丁寧に育ててきました。

現在は孫であるローザ・アントゥネシュとルイシュ・アントゥネシュがしっかりと受け継ぎ、素晴らしい伝統と技術を伝えています。

The Eleuterio brand was founded in 1925 by Eleuterio Antunes in Travassos.
The town is known as a region with strong craft traditions in jewelry.

The company has always specialized in the art of filigree, an ancient technique of producing jewelry with a fine gold thread.

The filigree technique appeared about 5,000 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia.
It was expanded to various parts of the world and reached the North of Portugal thousands of years ago, by hand of the Phoenicians.

With the “Discoveries”, the Portuguese traveled around the world and were able to confront their knowledge of the art of filigree with other people’s. With what they learned, they evolved to create the best filigree in the world.

Today, the grandchildren of the founder - Rosa and Luis Antunes - continue to keep the work of its artisans alive. As an international luxury brand, Eleuterio has attracted modern, cosmopolitan and demanding public.
